Good Society

This was an incredibly busy weekend, filled with lots of good stuff (and a fair share of adulting, too). It's approaching 9pm as I write this, but I really feel like it could be almost midnight. I'm spent! (Update: I couldn't finish! I went to bed at 9:15 and finished in the morning. I'm a girl who needs her sleep!)
One of the highlights was a visit from my sister. She and I spent Saturday with my best friend, C (and her husband), playing Good Society - A Jane Austen RPG. I've only played a role playing game once before and it was far different from this one. If you like to play games, enjoy a little society scandal, and like Jane Austen, then I can't recommend this enough. We had a great time developing characters, rumors, subplots, and more. (Many thanks to C's husband for spending time learning the rules and getting our story ready!)
The day wouldn't have been nearly as good without all of the delicious food. C outdid herself with the lovely set up and fun cocktails.

Not pictured: Yorkshire Gold tea, served in C's family tea set.
All in all, the day was quite lovely! I highly recommend making time to spend time with friends, whether you play games, do crafts, just chat...anything! A full day with my sister and C, eating fantastic food, talking about all-the-things, and playing a new & fun game was just what I needed. I'm already looking forward to next time!
